Protecting the Environment and Supporting Our Parks
John served for many years on the citizen council that advises the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on environmental issues. As Chairman of the Council’s legislative committee he studied and advocated for legislation to protect and improve the environment. As Supervisor, John has supported policies and approved projects that reduce greenhouse gasses, protect trees from development, improve our streams, and expand our parks and open spaces.

Making County Government More Open, Accountable and Responsive
Dranesville residents deserve a Supervisor who respects their concerns and conducts the peoples’ business in a fair and open manner. As Supervisor, John listens to his constituents, respects their opinions and is their advocate. He attempts to bring people together to discuss issues, search for consensus and solve problems. He always makes sure his constituents have a meaningful opportunity to influence decisions that impact their lives before those decisions are made. John also believes that Dranesville residents are entitled to outstanding constituent service from him and his staff when they have issues that involve the county, public utilities or other governmental entities.
