Did you know that the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors proclaimed 2010 the “Year of Appreciation of Older Adults”, or that, five years ago, the Board of Supervisors developed a “50+ Action Plan” to prepare for the anticipated, dramatic increase in the older adult population within Fairfax County?

SUPERVISOR JOHN FOUST (D-Dranesville) framed the discussion in his remarks: “Here in Fairfax County we are using a collaborative approach, working with communities to help them find the right solutions for themselves. . . . We are fortunate that, here in Great Falls, the Great Falls Citizens Association has already begun the search for those solutions.”
